Robotics

A Key to the Future

Robotics are the key to the future. Some of the more well known robots include the DARPA vehicles that can navigate difficult terrain autonomously. Other autonomous robots include the Honda biped machine. It is the first of its kind that can manage walking on two feet while maintaining its balance. Other vehicles include robots that can carry ammunition for the military. Of course, as robots become more and more apart of our everyday lives, roombas will become common place and take care of things for us. However, advancements will only be made in great leaps if we have open source communities that are willing to help our society increase our knowledge in the quickest way possible.

The Powerhouse

C was originally used to write Unix. C is a very powerful language that works extremely well. There are many new programming languages that are easier to use and that can do more more quickly. However, C can do everything and even manage memory, a problem common with C++. C is definitely a language of choice among many programmers.

PHP is a powerful programming language ment for web design. It is especially useful for Content Management Systems and all sorts of interactive web sites. PHP is commonly used in forums in use with a database such as mysql to create powerful slim web sites. PHP is especially useful for filling information in within a website.

mySQL

The Backend

mySQL is an open source database ment for small webhosting needs. Larger databases include ODBC which are used for enterpises, but mySQL is extremely common, slim, and easy to use. There are thousands of websites designed for use with mysql as a storage system. This is definitely a tool all web developers should learn to use.
